Client Alumni Event – The Royal Automobile Club - May 2014

Thank you to all of our guests at our client alumni event for making it such a success.

Speaker: Chris Poole

Discussion: The role that ECR continues to play in the twenty-first century

Location: The Royal Automobile Club, London

Crimson & Co’s Client Alumni dinner held on Thursday 15th May at the RAC Club on Pall Mall, was a great success; it was well attended by senior supply chain executives from 19 different sectors, and complimented by the good weather and great location of the RAC Club. There were a number of new faces this time as well as some familiar ones to this networking event.

Our guest speak Mr Chris Poole spoke passionately about his supply chain experiences and role as Co-chair of the UK grocery industry group Efficient Consumer Response (ECR). Chris explained, “ECR has been around since the mid-nineties; but its role today is as important as it was two decades ago. Its mission is focused on working together to fulfil consumer wishes better, faster, at less cost and in a sustainable way”.

As Chris bought us up to date on the Role of ECR in Europe he spoke of three key factors to support manufacturers, retailers and service providers supply chains;

  • Collaboration
  • Sharing best practice and knowledge within the team
  • Transformational change to our industry that benefits our shoppers and consumers

If you would like more information or have any specific questions which Chris didn’t get to answer before he left for the evening, please contact him directly or post a discussion on our LinkedIn page.

A huge thank you to all members who were able to make this event and to Chris for entertaining us for the evening!

Our next event will be in November 2014.
