Crimson & Co was proud to present at ‘Capital Creation London’ on 11th December 2008, at the Dorchester Hotel in London.
Our Head of Operations Restructuring, Crispin Mair, presented on how to create value through operations restructuring. Crispin demonstrated how, if done effectively, such restructuring can rapidly make a business cash positive and increase enterprise value. He pinpointed where opportunities might lie within portfolio businesses and shared top tips for making a restructure successful, as well as sharing our recent experience of restructuring operations.
Crimson & Co thoroughly enjoyed the thrills and spills of fast moving white water rafting for our team day in November when we visited a site managed by one of our clients, Leisure Connection.
Set in 270 acres of beautiful country park, Holme Pierrepont is the setting for the internationally renowned Water Sports Centre. The centre has been home to some of our greatest Olympians and has been included in London’s 2012 pre-games training camp guides.
Thanks to all of our guests at our recent Champagne, Canapés and Wine Tasting evening for making it such a lively and successful event!
Set in the cellars of the wonderfully worn-in Berry Brothers & Rudd wine shop near St James’s Palace, the Crimson & Co team was joined by partners, friends, suppliers and clients as it celebrated its continued success. The champagne and canapés were excellent but, as usual, the highlight was the walk-around wine tasting, which this year featured premium wines from the Burgundy regions of Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
Well done to Alison Walthew, Jane Powell and James Smith for their charitable activities for this quarter, raising a total of £1,250 for two fantastic charities.
Thanks to everyone who sponsored James Smith, who ran the length of Hadrian’s Wall for charity! He ran 84 miles in three days, so that’s more than three back to back marathons, and he finished in Newcastle on the 3rd September. James raised over £1,000 for Get Kids Going, a charity that provides disabled children access in to the sporting arena. As someone who has gained so much from playing a wide variety of sports it seemed a most worthy cause.
Thanks to everyone who sponsored Alison Walthew and Jane Powell, who ran 5k in The Chester Race for Life, in June. They successfully exceeded their donation targets and raised £250 for Cancer research. Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments.

In the spirit of competition and camaraderie, the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge is organised to foster company pride and teamwork; but most of all, the objective is to have fun. An unhealthy consultant is an unhappy consultant.
Crimson & Co held a breakfast meeting for recruitment specialists in order to find and recruit staff. The event was held at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane, London, over a complimentary breakfast and was a great success.
All the directors of Crimson & Co were present and spent time with the recruiters. In an introductory presentation we outlined our growth plans for Crimson & Co and the challenges we face in finding the right calibre of staff.
The recruiters were able to take away profiles of the business, ideal candidates and a personal insight to the unique culture, drive and enthusiasm that exists within Crimson & Co.
