British American Tobacco has ambitious targets to reduce operating costs, whilst enabling growth through innovation and quality delivery. To support this strategy, Crimson & Co developed a BAT-specific Supply Chain Excellence toolkit, which assesses the excellence of all of the supply chain processes (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver) against required standards, and generates a set of improvement actions for each business unit. This Supply Chain Excellence toolkit is being deployed globally.

PZ Cussons are a leading FMCG company providing soap, toiletries and laundry brands to consumers across the world, with ambitious operational growth targets, particularly in emerging markets in Asia and Africa. The group takes pride in its knowledge of local markets, enabling their operating companies to respond quickly and appropriately to local needs. To support this approach, Crimson & Co developed a PZ Cussons-specific Supply Chain Excellence toolkit which audits the maturity of all supply chain processes (Source, Make, Plan, Deliver, Demand) against required standards. This has been successfully deployed in Europe, Asia and Africa and recognises the need for processes and services to be customised to suit the local needs, as well as understanding the benefits of group wide standardisation.
